The dates of the 2008 AMSAT-UK Colloquium are Friday 25 July to Sunday 27 July, at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK. This will be our 23rd Colloquium, and as usual, we hope to hope have an interesting and fun programme for all our visitors.

The AMSAT-uk members area is open on proof of membership to AMSAT-uk. The automatic self-registration is disabled to prevent bogus registrations.

OSCAR-11 Report: 2008-04

Telemetry decoding software for the Amateur Radio satellite Delfi-C3 is being made available.

RASCAL is the name of the software package that the Delfi-C3 team are offering to radio-amateurs around the world to enable them to collect and decode data of the Delfi-C3 satellite.

An Indian rocket will this week send six Amateur Radio satellites into a 630 km 90 degree sun-synchronous orbit from the launch site at Sriharikota.

New Amateur Satellite to launch end of April
A new Amateur Radio satellite, Delfi-C3, is due to be launched at the end of April. It will go into a 630 km 90 degree sun-synchronous orbit from the Indian launch site at Sriharikota and will carry a 70 cm to 2 metre linear transponder for SSB and CW working.

UK Schools Space Experiment Contest Launched
UK school pupils are being offered the chance to design an experiment for a small satellite in an effort to boost interest in space science.

The contest, organised by the British National Space Centre (BNSC) and Surrey Satellite Technology (SSTL), is open to students between the ages of 14 and 18.
