HITSAT Amateur CubeSat to Launch September 23rd

Mineo Wakita JE9PEL has passed on the information that the launch date of the HITSAT satellite is currently September 23^rd. HITSAT was developed by the student association "Hokkaido Space Union" of the Hokkaido Institute of Technology. It will be launched from the Uchinoura Space Center on the M-V-7 rocket as a sub-payload. The main-payload of the launch is SOLAR-B. www.isas.jaxa.jp/e/enterp/missions/solar-b/

It is planned to go into a sun synchronous orbit with an orbital altitude at perigee of 250km and 600km at apogee with an inclination of 97.79 degrees.

HITSAT is a 12cm cube with a mass of 2.2 kg. It carries a 100 milliwatt CW beacon on 437.275 MHz and an FM transmitter on 437.425 MHz with a 145.980 MHz uplink.
