The dates of the 2008 AMSAT-UK Colloquium are Friday 25 July to Sunday 27 July, at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK. This will be our 23rd Colloquium, and as usual, we hope to hope have an interesting and fun programme for all our visitors.
 
Under 'Information for New Members' are a few new menu items which link to the secure online joining & renewal website.
 
The AMSAT-uk members area is open on proof of membership to AMSAT-uk. The automatic self-registration is disabled to prevent bogus registrations.
 
The UK to get it's first Cubesat ?

Up to now no Cubesats have been built in the United Kingdom but this may soon change.

A student team at Leicester University are keen to build a satellite and they contacted AMSAT-UK to find out more.

AMSAT-UK sponsored two of the students to attend all three days of the recent International Space Colloquium so they could meet other satellite designers and learn from their experiences.

Both of them found attending Colloquium invaluable and they left with a far clearer idea of what was involved in Amateur satellite building and how to go about it.
