AMSAT-UK Colloquium - TRAVEL

The University of Surrey is easy to get to:

Road: See the maps below for directions. The University Campus is very close to the main A3 London to Portsmouth main road. Please note that a car parking pass should be obtained prior to arriving. This is normally sent out to delegates who register prior to the event by post, but can be collected from the AMSAT-UK office on arival. Also please note that although the car parks are large, they are at some distance (5 mins walk) from the lecture theatre. Please allow enough time to make your way to the venue, particularly if you havnt been before. If you are travelling by road in UK (or even europe, try the Royal Automobile Club route planner, its really cool!)

Rail: Guildford Railway station is adjacent to the campus, and about 15 mins walk away from the building in which we hold the Colloquium. If you arrive with a heavy suitcase, though, you may wish to use a taxi for a few UK pounds stirling. If using the UK rail system, try the online time table at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/. Believe it or not its normally quite accurate!!

Air: There are good connections by Air to Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Gatwick is particularly convenient as there are some good cheap flights arriving there, and it has a direct rail connection with Guildford.
