Assorted Satellite Site (& other) Pointers and downloads

Software downloads

The main site for software downloads is the Amsat-NA FTP site .

SATLIST, which comes from PA0DLO, is a simple program that allows you to quickly produce a list of satellite pass predictions for any location on earth. The second option that the program offers is to calculate when two satellites can see each other. This may be useful for planning dual-satellite operations or to determine when e.g. the ISS or MIR are in range of the geostationary satellites that are used for their communication links. The observer's co-ordinates and the satellite kepler parameters are placed in two files, that may be edited using any ASCII editor program. Download 34K zip file.

WXtrack, at first look, seems like something for weather satellites but it works for any satellites. Check it out. Amsat-UK have no connection with WXtrack and merely include this link for the possible interest of satellite afficianados.

Drake Power Feeder. This is a circuit I devised, based on the Satellite Experimenters' Handbook info, to feed power into the feedline to a Drake converter. Download 7K GIF file

Sat Explorer. An easy to operate freeware sat tracking program.
